Being organic means we use no chemical pesticides, herbicides only natural deterrents to stop all our produce from going to the other inhabitants. We plant as much for them as we can as well.
In 2008 we were able to purchase two fields amounting to 10 acres. They had been certified organic since 2002 and were bare after clover and grass had been cut and taken out.
Since then we have planted hedgerows, field trees and areas of woodland as well as establishing an orchard and areas for vegetable production. Three polytunnels have been erected along side a few wooden buildings.
The campsite has been certificated for 12 years and continues to attract a steady number of campers each year without any overcrowding.
